Today I posted the following message in vBulletin's Forums to try and get them to modify the blog so that they each category can be viewed as an RSS Feed.


Currently viewing RSS Feed views public blogs posted regardless of category.

It would be nice to click on View RSS feed and only view a specific category.

Today I started a thread in the Blog Suggestions and Feedback Forum. The goal is to try and get private blogs to be truely private. Which they are not now.

When a blog entry has "Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators" selected and the blogger (myself in this case) in the Blog Control Panel has "Guests may view your blog" checked, then...

I added several blog categories using the website http://blogfinder.genealogue.com/ for refrence.

While this is a good start, we can add more as time goes on. Members can sumbit category requests through the Forum Blog - Suggestions/Bug Report located at http://forums.ancestry-world.com/for...lay.php?f=1861 that I created.

I figured out why blogs were not showing. It's because the displayed blogs are "Featured Blogs" which need to be set up in the Admin tool under vBulletin Blog -> Blog Featured Entries where you can add as many feature entries as you wish. You can add them Random Entry, Specific Entry and Latest Entry.
