Every year in Erie County, New York the United Way has an event called The United Way Day of Caring where local businesses allow their employees to volunteer and break away from the usual work day to help the qualified United Way benificieries either clean up, paint or perform other meaningful tasks.

This year my employer Synacor was tasked with Concordia Cemetery in Buffalo. About 18 Syncorians helped mow the lawn and paint the main fence.
